Hippotherapy uses the natural movement of the horse to affect an individuals overall

function.



For hippotherapy a PT or OT is also part of the lesson, we use their recommendations to

ensure the student is getting the most benefit possible from each session.

The student in need of Hippotherapy would schedule their therapy session with their therapist

at Booth Hill Farm and we provide the horse or pony after an evaluation is complete.

We then move forward with the therapists guidance.



Most students need a leader and 2 sidewalkers for their lessons, so our programs could not

run without our wonderful volunteers.



All riding can enhance confidence, sensory integration, attention span,

and communication skills. For these youngsters it is an enjoyable way of treatment in a

non-clinical environment remarkable results in many cases.

Our program is offered to students working to improve balance, posture, muscle tone,

range of motion, strength, mobility and focus, and improve in many other areas as well.
