Potatoes are of particular importance for Mazzoni Group. The harvesting season runs from the end of June to the end of July, whilst the product is marketed all year round. Thanks to a well-established relationship with the potato producers, it is possible to choose the land most suitable for this type of cultivation, especially around Bologna and Ferrara. Mazzoni Group use highly specialised technical staff to check potato production, guaranteeing both the health and safety of the product. This meticulous activity means that each batch can be fully identified and retraced.
The technical production guidelines applied are indicated in the Disciplinare di Produzione Integrata (Integrated Production Regulations) of the Emilia-Romagna Region; regular checks by technical staff guarantee that these regulations have been applied, which also makes it possible to rigorously select producers by evaluating their professionalism and the characteristics of the land. Quality control is of great importance at the time of collection, where the characteristics of the potatoes are carefully checked and therefore classified and sorted according to their most suitable use.
